Terramar DMC Mourns the Sudden Loss of Beloved Industry Leader Lee Chipman
It is with profound sadness that Terramar DMC announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Lee Chipman, a cherished member of our executive team and a beloved figure within the global meetings and events community.
For nearly 30 years with Hilton, and a decade with Terramar, Lee dedicated his career to building meaningful relationships, mentoring upcoming leaders, and setting a high standard for service and leadership across the hospitality industry. Known for his infectious energy, unwavering professionalism, and heart-centered approach to every client and colleague, Lee’s impact cannot be overstated.

Lee’s dedication to the Terramar brand and the hospitality community left a lasting legacy throughout Mexico, Panama, the U.S., and beyond. His work, mentorship, and friendship shaped careers and enriched lives. He will be remembered for his deep kindness, boundless generosity, and the rare ability to lead with both strength and heart.
During this period, Lisa DeLeon and Matt Cuevas will be guiding operational matters while we focus on supporting our team and, most importantly, surrounding Lee’s loved ones—especially his beloved wife, Yessika—with care and compassion during this unimaginable time. We hold his entire family close in our hearts as we remember Lee not only as a colleague and leader, but as a devoted husband, father, son, and brother.
